Located on Riverside Drive, one block west of Pass Avenue.
Bob's Big Boy in Burbank is the oldest Bob's Big Boy Restaurant in America. It has been restored to look like it did back in 1949. This place was named a "Place of Historical Interest" by the State of California. They have a classic car show every Friday night in their parking lot. You can also get "car hop" service on Saturday and Sunday nights.
What's really good about this Bob's that sets it apart from other Bob's restaurants, aside from the historical architecture and the great old photos of Burbank, is the great food that they serve. They even serve "Pappy Parker's Fried Chicken", from an old recipe that all Bob's locations used to serve! The staff at this restaurant are really friendly. They serve delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Although Bob's Big Boy in Burbank is not in Hollywood (it's about half a mile away), I highly recommend this place to out of town visitors who are looking to get a feeling of the experience of a place where famous people (like Bob Hope and Johnny Carson) used to dine regularly.
